WYLATOWO

Polish Roswell

A small village near Mogilno, Wylatowo, which in the past even held town rights but lost them in the 18th century, gained international fame at the beginning of the 21st century due to crop pictograms that were allegedly created by extraterrestrial beings. This phenomenon attracted UFO researchers from around the world. However, the case was never fully explained, and nothing was definitively proven.

The phenomenon caused by the crop circles drew a record number of tourists in 2003. The events were even featured on the TVN paranormal program “Nie do wiary” (“Unbelievable”).

The crop circles reportedly appeared between 2000 and 2005. To this day, their mystery remains unsolved – there is no conclusive evidence that extraterrestrial beings were involved, nor has human involvement been definitively proven.

This mystery allowed Wylatowo to build its reputation as Poland’s UFO capital. There were attempts to develop tourism around it, but the further we get from 2006, the fewer people remember Wylatowo’s fame. Today, the only reminders are signs reading “Caution: Zone Zero” with a UFO symbol, installed by the local municipality.
